The Director is an integral part of a staff and volunteer team responsible for the Heart Walk in the Silicon Valley, a major fundraising event that promotes physical activity. The Director will share a fundraising goal of approximately $500,000 net.

Successful candidate will be familiar with executive level volunteer recruitment and engagement; high level sponsorship solicitation; ability to create and maintain strong relationships with customers at different levels; and event execution.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• 2-3 years successful fundraising, outside sales or marketing experience
• Ability to accomplish results through strong volunteer recruitment, training and management
• Highly effective organizational, communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills. Detail oriented and ability to multi-task
• Self starter able to work well in a team driven environment
• Thrive in a culture of accountability
• Willing and able to travel within local area up to 75% and to work evenings and weekends on occasion
