Position Purpose/Summary: Responsible for coordinating and engaging with all levels of academia, underserved organizations, and chartered community areas to provide financial literacy education. Regionally, this position performs the overall scheduling and providing of financial education to our schools, universities, and community partners, as needed, and ensures that we are providing materials of value and relevance. The Financial Wellness Officer shall focus on increasing brand awareness and general membership through providing valuable financial services to individuals, businesses, organizations, and communities in all regions.

Education & Experience: We pride ourselves in our advocacy for education, growth, and opportunity for experience at Visions Federal Credit Union. This position would minimally require an associate degree (bachelor's degree preferred), or an equivalent combination of education & experience is required.
Proven experience (1 to 3 years) with financial literacy, business development, education, and public speaking. Preference for bi-lingual Spanish fluency preferred due to members and community served.

Essential Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Due to the nature of this role in dealing with senior management and employees on an on-going basis, the position requires (and is not limited to):
* Excellent project management skills and the ability to multi-task with proven attention to detail. Self starter to formulate and execute.
* High level of communication and interpersonal skills to communicate and teach financial literacy classes effectively throughout all the communities we serve, while representing the credit union positively to significant external publics.
* Working knowledge of computer (PC) hardware video, audio & graphic capabilities, Internet background (i.e., ISP's, website research, search engines, Google applications, popular social networking sites, blogs, and mobile applications.
* Computer skills needed in Micro media Flash & flash animation, html, Microsoft Access, and Excel.
* Comfortable with use of all mobile devices and their capabilities for marketing initiatives.
* Proven written and verbal communication skills to effectively create research on new products/services proposals and presentations for management team.
Bilingual in Spanish Preferred

Compensation Range: $65,000/yr. - $90,000/yr. *Hiring rates may be dependent on a number of factors, including years of directly related work experience, education, geographic location or special skills*
