Position Summary

This position is responsible for supervising 2nd shift production associates in the delivery of high-quality products to our customers. The position is accountable for achieving targets related to safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Along with those identified below, other duties may be assigned.

  • Train associates in proper manufacturing techniques.
  • Implement and ensure ABS tools are being followed. (Standard Work, Kamishibai Audits, Daily Management, Cross Training, Kanban, etc.)
  • Ensure associates comply with Company policies and procedures.
  • Work with Supervisors and Leads for proper cell staffing.
  • Daily Management of SQDIP objectives & goals (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Productivity).
  • Responsible for implementation of countermeasures for misses to daily/weekly KPI goals
  • Disciplinary Action when necessary
  • Responsible for the proper handling and disposal of hazardous waste
  • Responsible for managing production work schedules
  • Deliver products that meet all quality, cost, and quantity requirements
  • Maintain working relationship with the union by following the terms of the collective bargaining agreements.

Qualifications and Experience Levels

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years-experience in a manufacturing environment; electronics manufacturing preferred.
  • Supervision experience in a production environment required.
  • Experience with ISO:9001 and AS9100 preferred
  • Experience with lean manufacturing preferred

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Salary range: $70,000-$90,000

Compensation is based on a variety of factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, responsibilities, candidate experience, education, qualifications, and business considerations.
