Position Summary

The Office of Student Affairs at the NYU School of Professional Studies' is seeking a Student Success Case Manager who will be responsible for ensuring that students receive comprehensive, and timely support. The Student Success Case Manager will assist in proactively reaching out to and assisting at-risk students and those who experience disruption in the normal course of study as a result of academic difficulty, or other situations impeding success. Serve as primary contact and offer follow-up support for students taking and returning from leaves of absence, and students who are in need of additional academic support, including students who are on academic probation. Work in tandem with SPS academic advisors and faculty to ensure that the student journey is comprehensively supported. Serve as an advocate to provide support and guidance, connecting students with university/school resources as needed to facilitate retention and graduation. Oversee academic support administrative processes and conduct workshops and training for faculty, students, and staff related to academic success.

Qualifications

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Education:
Master's Degree MS degree in Social Work preferred, Higher Education Administration, Counseling or related field.

Required Experience:
3+ years of case management experience, preferably with some experience in a higher education setting.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Understanding of and experience in case management techniques in support of human services. Understanding of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) principles. Understanding of current trends that impact international students and students in vulnerable populations. Demonstrated experience in working collaboratively in a team setting as well as independently. Possess strong problem-solving skills and high interpersonal and communication skills. Proven counseling skills. Highly skilled in liaising with a wide range of people from culturally diverse backgrounds and positions in a complex organization.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Must be well versed in quality data collection to ensure adequacy, accuracy and legitimacy of data in NYU systems and be able to strictly follow data privacy and security procedures for data handling and analysis to ensure adherence to legal and institutional standards

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $74,142.00 to USD $90,618.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
