About the Role

We are looking for an exceptional Senior Director of E-Commerce with a proven track record of success across various platforms, including but not limited to Shopper, Amazon, and Kroger. This visionary leader will be responsible for building our e-commerce practice, spearheading organic growth, and seizing new business opportunities within our agency. This pivotal role requires someone capable of winning client trust, leading practice teams, and effectively managing multiple clients and partners.

Responsibilities
  • Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary contact for key commerce clients, fostering strong, productive relationships.
  • Organic Growth & New Business: Spearhead initiatives to drive organic growth across our client base, identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and scale the e-commerce team, ensuring the delivery of exceptional results and the advancement of strategic goals.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive e-commerce strategy that incorporates platform optimization, digital marketing, customer acquisition, and retention.
  • Analytics & Insight: Leverage data to inform decisions, optimize strategies, and achieve business and client profitability goals.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Ogilvy's President of Growth Practices, and integrate efforts across Commerce, Content, and Cultural Convergence.
What You'll Do
  • Oversee commerce strategies and activations, ensuring best practices and innovative approaches are applied.
  • Lead the Commerce Center of Excellence (COE) for key agency clients, maintaining relationships with retail partners and driving end-to-end planning.
  • Act as the main liaison across agency teams, driving commerce strategy integration within broader brand plans.
What You'll Need
  • 10-12 years of media planning and buying experience, with a deep focus on digital commerce roles.
  • At least 5 years dedicated to digital commerce, with experience managing significant accounts.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage client relationships, and drive strategic outcomes.
  • Strong knowledge of retail media networks, social commerce, and DTC strategies.
  • Excellent negotiation skills, with a knack for identifying and communicating incremental value to clients.

The base salary range for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. Pay Range
$100,000$230,000 USD
