Role Description

Manage the underwriting and portfolio management process for diverse debt solutions for companies with private equity ownership. Assess the company's constraints, and financial, economic, fiduciary, legal, and tax environments to enhance value proposition, gain market share and reduce risk.

Role Objectives: Delivery

Lead the due diligence, underwriting, obtaining approval, and closing documentation for new bilateral, agented, or participation facilities (Subscription Credit Facilities or SCFs) to Private Equity Firms secured by their LP capital commitments. Prepares the EDAC and Greenlight memoranda, when needed. Advise and counsel clients considering the company's constraints, financial, economic, fiduciary, legal, and tax environments to enhance value proposition, gain market share, and reduce risk. Partnering with Transactors, will design the structure and execute complex and tailored transactions, following the company's Risk guidance. Utilize research to craft sales pitches for the broader team and promote idea flow for buy-side clients. Discuss and defend analyst recommendations, research, and industry report with clients to drive transactions/sales.

Role Objectives: Interpersonal

Maintain existing client base and build relationships with private equity, investment funds, and buy-side clients to strengthen and provide investment advice, disseminate research, expand network of clients, close new business with existing clients. Cultivate new prospects and maximize profitable growth. Influence and partner with senior C-suite corporate executives, product specialists, syndicate desk, and cross-functional leadership across corporate bank to analyze sales reports, develop innovative approaches to optimize client pipeline (private equities, investment funds, and buy-side clients, etc.). Partner with research leaders (i.e., distribution of research to buy-side clients) to leverage best practices and explore new industry methods to better present and disseminate pertinent investment and firm information. Partner with legal and compliance regarding regulatory and listing issues (i.e., SOX, SEC disclosures, registration of new securities, executive stock transaction disclosures, etc.). Leverage a deep (and existing) industry network and oversee development of complex external partnerships to help convert leads into recurring new business and to elevate firm/brand awareness.

Role Objectives: Expertise

Leverage deep product experience, sector expertise, knowledge of competing products, industry-specific knowledge, and trends within the buy-side market. Utilize advanced certifications, credentials (i.e., CFI, et al.), and/or degrees (MBA). Demonstrate deep cross-functional expertise of the firm's products and mastery in presentation skills to effectively communicate strategy, performance across the firm (as well as knowing the competition) to differentiate the brand, enhance client experience and deepen wallet share of existing clients. Leverage ongoing sales, coaching, and/or developmental training experience, network, and industry relationships (i.e., buy-side clients) to increase business opportunities. Drive improvement/innovation in the process to improve client outcomes by leveraging deep expertise in both micro and macro investment depth and analyzing historical transactions in assigned industries to better structure, price, and enhance future investment-grade bond deals.
