Community Outreach to Veterans

The program, targeted towards service providers and interested stakeholders, will cover many of today’s challenges, including consumer and financial issues, access to education, employment, & workforce training, and mental health and suicide prevention efforts. There will be a special panel highlighting programs and practices from across the Commonwealth relative to veterans in the criminal justice system, and we hope to bring together court and public safety officials as additional key first responders to the needs of veterans.

Whether you represent a local business or are a job seeker in search of employment or a new career, you are invited to put the Capital Region Workforce Investment Board to work for you. Everything you need to find - to train and retain employees, or to land the job you want - is right here. Most of the services we provide are at no cost to you, and our top-notch professional staff is ready to help.

Funded by the U. S. Dept. of Labor our Veterans Employment Specialists assist homeless veterans to prepare for and gain employment. The service continues for 9 months after the veteran begins employment.
