Job Description:

Accounting Advisory Manager

Crowe and our nationwide Accounting Advisory practice team is growing exponentially, and as a valued member of the team, you'll play a key role in that growth. As a Manager working across various industries, you'll develop your career by communicating creative, strategic goals both internally and externally. It's all about listening to and understanding our clients to give them a truly exceptional experience in a field where there really are no off-the-shelf recommendations. Location is flexible and can be off-site/remote in this role where you will be a trusted advisor, solve problems, and provide value to clients.

Your Key Responsibilities

As an Accounting Advisory Manager you will be responsible for a variety of projects, and generally no two projects will be the same. We're interested in versatile people with the ability to collaborate with colleagues across multiple service lines, and our valued nationwide clients to build relationships and identify opportunities for our clients to benefit from our knowledge in other areas. We're not just looking for technical accounting experience - we're after genuinely interesting people with the ability to build relationships, negotiate and think in unique and creative news ways.

  • Execute on solutions to complex issues involving accounting and finance processes and technical accounting matters.

  • Maintain positive client relationships within a variety of industries.

  • Work with multiple teams.

  • Anticipate and address client concerns and resolve problems as they arise.

  • Perform accounting research related to complex transactions and create written outputs summarizing the application of the accounting guidance to the specified transaction.

  • Provide accounting and financial reporting support to clients in various industries.

  • Work with other team members to develop and deepen your own technical accounting knowledge.

  • Assist in planning engagements and supervising staff, including reviewing workpapers and providing feedback and mentorship.

  • Evaluate, design, and implement best practices to support the operations of accounting and finance departments.

  • Stay informed of industry trends and advise clients on how to improve and optimize accounting and finance operations and provide other valuable recommendations.

Are you up for the challenge?

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree is required with preferred major in Accountancy, Business, or Economics degree with an Accounting Minor.

  • 3-6 years working in the areas of accounting, financial reporting, corporate finance, OR 3+ years of recent public accounting external audit experience.

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is required.

  • Ability to organize and oversee multiple competing projects, while maintaining effective communication with clients and Crowe teams.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to travel up to 30% annually.

About the Team:

The Accounting Advisory team at Crowe advises clients and provides thought leadership, process expertise, technology insight to help clients identify, assess, evaluate, and reduce risks. Through various programs, we provide you with learning and reinvention through high-impact formal and systemic training.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Crowe, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $118,370 to $171,630.
