The Human Resources Internship will last for a full year with a flexible start depending on the candidate's availability, but no later than June 2022. At this time, the internship will be hybrid with the expectation of coming to TTX headquarters in downtown Chicago approximately one day a month during the year and up to four days/month in the Summer.

Overview:

The HR Intern is primarily responsible for planning, scheduling, and leading the TTX Summer 2023 Internship Program. The intern will assist the HR Department by analyzing surveys and responding to employee and intern needs. The intern will create communication materials like awards and recognition for employees. The intern will also be responsible for onboarding the 2023 intern class and recruiting the 2024 class. In addition, the intern will be responsible for working on other Talent Development and Human Resources tasks as needed.

The candidate must have a good understanding of Excel and ability to pick up new technology. Design skills are a plus (such as Canva and creating videos, etc.)

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Onboard and coordinate orientations for all interns.
  • Administer and lead the hybrid summer internship program including organizing intern events and acting as a contact point for all participants.
  • Assist with coordinating company events and communications.
  • Posting blogs and other important information on TTX's communication platform.
  • Research and analyze surveys to increase employee engagement.
  • Assist the Talent Development team with tasks that focus on professional development, employee engagement, and onboarding.
  • Coordinate the recruitment and interview process for the 2024 Internship Program and take on the role as a recruiter (training course will be provided).

Internship Goals:
  • Gain an understanding and appreciation for Talent Development (onboarding, professional development, training, and recruiting).
  • Plan, schedule, and lead virtual and in person events for interns at TTX Company with a focus on creating an engaging internship experience.

Qualifications:
  • Major(s): Human Resources, Business Management, Communications, Psychology or any related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) required, design skills are a plus.
  • Year in school: Junior or Senior.

  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Excellent organization, time management, and planning skills.
  • Team oriented and collaborative.
  • Willingness to learn and take the initiative.
  • Flexible and adaptable.
