Job Description

GLG is seeking a specialized Healthcare Business Development Manager to join our Professional Services Firms team to establish and build relationships with assigned consulting clients in the U.S. This individual will be responsible for managing a book of dedicated healthcare consulting firm clients. This will include regularly presenting GLG's platform to existing key clients to increase awareness of GLG's brand and grow the active user base and revenue across their accounts.

Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Engage key constituents at clients in order to articulate GLG's brand and tailor our Healthcare value proposition to those clients
  • "Map" client organizations to identify potential new buyers/users of GLG's services
  • Prospect new GLG users
  • Build and maintain relationships with top VIPs and promoters
  • Design and execute on account growth objectives and renewal strategies for a core book of dedicated healthcare accounts
  • Collaborate with generalist service leaders in GLG Direct and GLG Research to carry out growth objectives
  • Push out new product, healthcare content, and service and pricing initiatives to clients as well as collect customer feedback on those initiatives

Key performance metrics for this position include client revenue, number of active users with the book, client connection volumes, and new project starts. This individual will report to a Vice President of Healthcare and will work closely with client service across the product portfolio.

At a minimum, you will have the following:

  • At least 4 years of experience in account management or consultative selling in B2B sales
  • Bachelor's degree or higher

An ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Superior verbal communication skills and ability to confidently articulate the value of our network across all product types
  • Proven experience leading renewal and contract negotiations with global client firms
  • Proven experience in growing accounts
  • Prior experience and knowledge of the Healthcare market in the US and globally
  • Ability to build strong and lasting relationships with key decision makers in client firms
  • Ability to work well independently and be self-motivated
  • A strong passion for persuasion, especially around complicated and intellectually challenging issues
  • A demonstrated ability to read and understand people
  • Experience selling to professional services or similar industry is a plus but not a requirement

Working Environment: Flexible / Hybrid working arrangements typically requiring 2 days per week in office.

Compensation: GLG is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Actual compensation is based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. Certain roles may also be eligible for incentive compensation.

The anticipated hiring base salary range for this role is:
$77,900-$114,000 USD
