Sr Security & Electronic Systems Specialist

We are currently seeking a Sr Security & Electronic Systems Specialist to join our Texas team. Ideally this person would be located in Dallas, Houston or Austin, but we may consider a fully remote role from other locations based on experience and skill level.

This role is responsible for all aspects of project delivery. Responsibilities include design meetings with clients, development of system designs and communication of same to production staff, project management duties and supporting the needs of the low voltage system group at large.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assume Project Management Duties on assigned projects.
    • Manage fee budgets
    • Interface with Architectural and Engineering leadership
    • Manage production schedules
    • Attend client meetings
    • Attend internal team meetings
    • Integrate the low voltage design into the overall project to meet the client's needs
  • Assist Architectural discipline in compiling construction documents relative to low voltage drawings and specifications.
  • Assist low voltage design technicians in clash detection and conflict resolution with MEP and other systems.
  • Construction Administration Responsibilities
    • Attend pre-bid meetings
    • Scope validation
    • Pre-construction meetings
    • Shop drawing review
    • Progress meetings
    • RFI responses
    • Field observations
    • Field reports
    • Observation of system operation for punch list reports

Required Skills
  • Understanding of basic Revit functions and automated processes required.
  • Understanding of construction management software systems.
  • Advanced skills in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Ability to manage projects, produce deliverables and perform construction administration duties.
  • Knowledge of networks, physical security, audio visual, and/or other applications is a plus.

Qualifications
  • 2 year degree in construction management or low voltage design related field of study desired.
  • Knowledge of Revit required.
  • Minimum 5 years' relevant experience.
  • Knowledge and understanding of low voltage systems for corrections and other government applications a plus.
  • Knowledge and understanding of construction disciplines and bid documents required.
  • Experience in working in integrated teams.
  • Experience in design and delivery of LEED Silver or higher projects a plus.
  • Experience with project types in commercial, corporate, institutional and civic, justice, aviation, and healthcare sectors is a plus
