Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced construction professional with experience in Construction Management (Agency & At-Risk), a background with NYS Public Agencies focused on K-12 school, higher education, aviation and municipal projects is preferred. The Construction Project Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of multiple small-scale projects or a single large-scale project.

We are looking for a qualified individual that can grow their career while increasing our market presence in the Syracuse, Mohawk Valley or Hudson Valley Region. This is a full-time position offering competitive compensation, excellent employee benefits and a great work environment. Regional, non-overnight travel is estimated at 25%.

Position Responsibilities

  • Exceed client expectations by ensuring the quality and high standards of performance and compliance in both design and construction.
  • Directs and coordinates the activities of project team to ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget.
  • Examines construction documentation including drawings, schedules, and scopes to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Follows established standards and procedures for project reporting and documentation.
  • Project Manager has financial responsibility of the project; cost forecasting, subcontractor, material and vendor control
  • Project Manager is responsible for the timely execution and management of the owner and subcontractor change order process.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with clients, potential clients, subcontractors and vendors to help develop new opportunities.
  • Plan, schedule and administer project meetings with client, subcontractors, vendors and field personnel.
  • Manage and oversee timely and accurate completion of all projects.
  • Assist in the development and pursuits of new projects, including preparing technical approaches, budgets, etc.
  • Utilize safe work practices in accordance with federal, state, local, and company standards.
  • Communicate incidents, accidents, near misses, potential hazards, and unsafe working conditions to a supervisor or the Health and Safety Department as soon as identified.

Skills/Education/Experience

  • Minimum 5-10 years related experience, Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management/Engineering preferred.
  • CCM and/or PMP Certification a plus.
  • Working knowledge of construction management procedures with field experience.
  • Knowledge of document control; experience with Procore or similar software required.
  • Experience with construction scheduling software (i.e. Primavera P6 /Microsoft Project).
  • Competent computer skills including full use of Procore as well as Microsoft Office products, including Microsoft Project, Project Management and Project Financial software platforms
  • Must have above average communication skills and the ability to read, analyze and interpret technical documentation. Must be able to clearly and concisely develop project related correspondence including technical content.
  • Ability to meet / present with Owner's and represent the interest of C&S.
  • Experience in At-Risk work (General Construction and/or CM At-Risk) is a plus

Estimated Compensation Range: $93,600 - 114,400/year*

*Actual compensation may vary based on related work experience, geographical location and market conditions, education/training, certifications, and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.
