Primary Responsibilities

In the role of Site Civil EIT/Designer, we'll count on you to:

* Design and plan production for general civil on a wide variety of projects, including site layouts, horizontal and vertical control, grading and drainage, paving, site utilities, erosion & sediment control, and associated civil engineering activities

* Develop design plans, profiles and details

* Assist in the preparation of Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans

* Perform quantity takeoffs

* Assist in the preparation of basis of design narratives

* Assist in performing stormwater water quality and quantity calculations

* Assist in the preparation of specifications and contract documents

* Perform assignments exercising judgment in evaluation, selection and modification of standard engineering techniques and procedures

* Perform other duties as needed

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or closely related engineering degree.

* Demonstrated leadership and communication skills

* Aptitude and demonstrated hands-on experience with computer applications in Civil Engineering such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, InRoads, Siteworks is required

* Proficient with Microsoft Office

* Good verbal and written communication skills

* An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Preferred Qualifications

  • Candidates who reside locally are preferred.
  • EIT is preferred. Candidates who are hired without EIT certification will be hired with the title of Civil Designer and will be expected to obtain certification for career progression
  • Previous experience in general civil engineering preferred
  • Experience with stormwater design modeling programs such as HydroCAD, Hydraflow Hydrographs, Storm & Sanitary Analysis, Hecras, etc., is preferred

Typical starting pay range for this position is $62,563 - $89,375 annually depending upon skills, experience, education and geographical location.
