Job Description

Individual accountabilities

  • Drive trade sales for designated customer portfolio and source new customers across the Americas
  • Meet or exceed sales targets within the designated portfolio
  • Plan and participate in customer visits and/or trade shows to expand customer base and promote the GBI branding
  • Attend product improvement and industry best practises seminars and share lessons learned with GBI
  • Lead the N.P.D. (New Product Development) for the thermal spray product line
  • Launch & drive to market new Thermal Spray initiatives based on N.P.D. plans set-out during MAP process
  • Provide direct GBI customer support and training sessions globally in regards to thermal spray product lines
  • Specific Regional & Global financial & qualitative targets to be spelled out during the MAP process.

Shared accountabilities

  • Directly support N.P.D. & Quality group with regards to product launches, business cases & market data requirements
  • Work with GBI Global Sales Team keeping the team up to date with product advancements, product knowledge transfer and provide customer sales support when required.
  • Directly support the budgeted global sales targets for the thermal spray tape lines @ GBI & Biscor. (Est. Annual targets to exceed 8.2 Mil per annum).

Key linkages & interfaces / most important stakeholders

GBI Sales Team, N.P.D. Group, Quality Dept., existing & new thermal spray customers, other groups as required to support the thermal spray product lines

  • Manage customer relationships / accounts and drive trade sales within the Americas (designated regions) whilst directly or indirectly supporting sales initiatives in other regions for all product lines.
  • Lead new product development initiatives focusing on the thermal spray product line for GBI.
  • Work closely with the N.P.D. group & Quality Dept.'s to document project initiatives, provide market assessments and develop customer relationships to drive product improvements to market.
