Accountabilities | Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Campus Safety, Emergency Management, and Environmental Health and Safety and working closely with other colleagues in the Dean of the College Division, the Emergency Management Project Manager, and Clery Compliance Officer primarily responsible for the management and administration of the university's public safety and security-related compliance requirements. The Emergency Management Project Manager and Clery Compliance Officer ensure regulatory compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act) for the University. This position requires expertise in emergency management procedures, Clery Act requirements, advanced communication, research, and reporting skills, and the capacity to coordinate projects successfully. The incumbent can expect that over time, approximately 60% of the positions will be in leading and managing emergency management projects, 30% will be in maintaining Clery Compliance, overseeing reporting requirements, and enhancing campus safety protocols, and 10% tackling diverse tasks and responsibilities as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the team and organization. This position has been designated as a Campus Security Authority (CSA), in accordance with the federal statutory requirements of the Jeanne Clery Act. CSAs are required to and responsible for reporting allegations of crimes they receive from students and employees to the Campus Safety Department. |

CAMPUS CRIME REPORTING AND STATISTICS The Department of Campus Safety will provide upon request a copy of Colgate's Annual Security and Fire Safety Report. This report includes statistics as reported to the United States Department of Education for the previous three years concerning reported: 1. crimes that occurred on-campus; in certain off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by Colgate University; and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from, the campus and 2. fires that occurred in student housing facilities.
