Overview

Canon Business Process Services currently has an opening for a HRIS Analyst. This role will be based at our Corporate Office (261 Madison Ave) in New York City. You will be required to be in the office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Canon Business Process Services ("Canon") provides on-site services for hundreds of clients across the United States, spanning document services, business process outsourcing and managed workforce solutions. This role will be responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of the human resources information system and any other complimentary systems (SuccessFactors) including: activities associated with employee information, retrieval capabilities and all data reporting to meet the informational needs of the HR group as well as other business units. This person will develop reports and procedures to audit HRIS data to ensure complete and accurate data is maintained in our systems. Providing leadership, productivity, organization, and efficiency to the entire HR department thru managing the HR database, data reporting, office workflow, and comprehensive documentation will also be a big focus.

Responsibilities
    Generates ad hoc management reports through various databases and reports which may involve downloading information into Microsoft Access for detailed analysis.
  • Responsible for the ongoing development, upgrade, and data integrity of the HRIS system.
  • Evaluates, analyzes, designs, and maintains the Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS)
  • Responsible for SuccessFactors (SF) system administration, working closely with SF technical staff to make system enhancements and modifications. Includes maintenance of Merit, Off Cycle and Performance templates, and queries to upload Off Cycle transactions to AS400.
  • Will work closely with CBPS IT technical staff in maintaining and making changes as needed to the interface between our AS400 system and the SF system, uploading data, creating, and running reports, troubleshooting, and resolving problems.
  • Works with IT to alter existing programs in order to gather and report data as necessary.
  • Develops and finalizes system requirements documents.
  • Maintains internal database files and tables.
  • Develops custom reports to meet the requirements of company management and staff.
  • Works closely with HRIS team to establish new systems and identify new software products to support future corporate objectives and strategies as well as current needs.
  • Prepares accurate and timely monthly reports from the HRIS system as required by management.
  • Establishes and maintains up to date HRIS standard operating procedures and a comprehensive HRIS reports library.
  • Develops and maintains up-to-date end user training manual and materials.
  • Develops and conducts in-house HRIS training programs for end-users. Assists the training unit in preparing course work related to SuccessFactors.
  • Serves as lead resource for input and maintenance of the HR intranet site, seeking out new opportunities to promote HRIS functionality via the intranet
  • Leads HRIS audits, proposes solutions to issues found, makes corrections as necessary and communicates findings. These audits include 1. Auditing new hires for client specific requirements and documents not transferred from iCIMS or Background Check vendor; 2. Auditing onboarding documents transferred from iCIMS to Document Locator for completeness; 3. Auditing Document Locator to ensure all active employees have required documents.
  • Maintain iCIMS transfer process to Document Locator and develop reports as required.
  • Works on special projects for HR and performs other duties as required by manager.
  • Adheres to all Human Resource policies and procedures regarding confidentiality and security of information at all times.
  • Administers system security and set up users in various systems to ensure that users have access to appropriate folders and information.
  • Manages system implementations, upgrades, and design changes.
  • Systems liaison between vendor and HR in resolving Cognos issues.
  • Develops, maintains, and runs ad hoc & regularly scheduled Cognos reports and queries.
  • Responsible for regulatory reporting, such as EEO1, Vets-4212, DOL surveys, etc.
  • Responsible for wage increase notification to Operations and others that need to be aware of changes.
  • Provides end user support in Microsoft Office case tools, as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business or computer science or equivalent knowledge required.
  • HRIS Certification highly preferred.
  • 5 - 10 years' experience in HRIS Software Application and reporting required.
  • Minimum of 2 years Infinium/AS400 experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years Cognos 10 Report Studio and Administration or equivalent report writing experience.
  • SuccessFactors Performance and Compensation Management systems, preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Web-based programming language, XML and SQL are strongly desirable
  • Solid working knowledge of a variety of PC applications and report-generating tools including relational database concepts and demonstrated expertise with HRIS report writers.
  • Knowledgeable about commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within HRIS field.
  • Advanced technical knowledge and use of Infinium software application or similar HRIS system.
  • Proficient in Cognos Report Studio and Cognos Administration.
