CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking a Project Financial Analyst to join our Commercial & Institutional- Administration/Sector Finance Team at our office in Albany, NY or any CHA office location.

YOUR IMPACT

CHA's corporate support teams provide vital specialized services to our technical business lines and market teams including, financial, legal, marketing, business development, human resources, information technology and operational services. These teams may also support clients when their skills and expertise are required.

A Project Financial Analyst (PFA) is a member of the Sector Finance's Project Financial Management team and plays critical roles in the successful management of contracts throughout a project's lifecycle. Often assigned to more complex projects and key clients, the PFA will provide consistent billing, reporting, and sound financial counsel for our businesses and our project managers. They work with various finance and non-finance functions to support controls, accounting transactions, analyses, and audit. The PFA will also interact with clients on ensuring client accounts and receivables are current. Often viewed as a highly capable individual, the PFA may be called upon to assist or advise junior team members with questions and provide mentorship to others who may be new to a role or learning a new skill.

REQUIREMENTS
    Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related discipline required; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • A minimum of 4 years of Project Accounting, Cost Accounting, Financial Analysis or similar activity required
  • Understanding of business systems, financial tracking and project management systems
  • Experience working in enterprise accounting systems
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of revenue accounting and invoicing practices
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Strong ability to function successfully in team environment with matrix responsibilities
  • Extremely organized and ability to manage multiple competing priorities
  • Experience with Deltek Vision or comparable enterprise accounting system highly preferred
  • Previous work experience in a professional services or project-oriented field
  • Experience in a rapid-paced and high-volume environment
