We have an opening for a Consultant, Life Sciences Consulting Group.

The Consultant, Life Sciences Group will provide a wide range of high-quality services to pharmaceutical and medical device companies to help ensure client compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, as well as corporate policies and procedures. As an example, the Consultant will collaborate with Life Sciences Practice professionals to design, build, implement, and operate effective compliance risk management programs, including the organizational constructs and resource models that support those programs across the enterprise.

In this capacity, the Consultant, Life Sciences Consulting Group will have a track record that projects success at each of the following required activities:

  • Develop strategies to solve complex challenges;
  • Create and deliver quality client deliverables (with emphasis on Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint) and related work product in a timely manner;
  • Partner with Life Sciences Practice professionals to transform ideas into visualizations that communicate the output of various Firm assessments and analyses;
  • Keep up to date with local, national, and international issues that impact our clients;
  • Support business development efforts and other efforts to expand the market presence of the Consulting Group and the broader Paul Hastings Life Sciences team; and
  • Support and learn about key aspects of the Consulting Group's practice development and other internal operations (including account planning, marketing, recruiting, training, and performance management).

In addition, the Consultant, Life Sciences Consulting Group will be expected to have:

  • Passion for being part of and helping to grow a new practice on a high-energy, highly collaborative team of driven, dedicated professionals;
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to approach and solve analytical tasks logically and systematically;
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to progress work independently within the context of a highly-collaborative team environment;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, and a strong grasp on the principles and execution of graphics-and-text-based communications/storytelling;
  • Time management and project management skills required to work across multiple client initiatives; and
  • Demonstrated willingness to invest time in developing their own knowledge and competencies.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree/Major in Engineering (preferably Biomedical), English, Finance, Healthcare, Business, or related course of study (required);Master's degree (preferred);
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (i.e., PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Visio), with advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel;
  • At least 1-2 years of experience working in a consulting/professional services environment (preferred);
  • Experience working with/course work focused on the life sciences industry (preferred);
  • Prior exposure to working directly with more senior colleagues (preferred);
  • Solid working knowledge of how life sciences companies are structured and operate (preferred); and
  • Foundational knowledge associated with US and global regulatory agencies (e.g., HHS OIG, DOJ, FDA, etc.) and their respective guidelines, policies, standards, practices, requirements, and precedents (e.g., Anti-Kickback Statute, False Claims Act, HIPAA, Corporate Integrity Agreements, etc.) (preferred).
