About the Role:

A pivotal member of our HR team, the Sr. HR Generalist, provides extensive support with your HR Director in all aspects of the HR function including employee relations and administration of programs that drive performance, capability and engagement. This role supports our G&A functions and requires a strategic mindset, ability to articulate solutions and advice in a way that is meaningful, a thorough understanding of FMLA/ADA compliance, and proficiency in benefits and compensation administration.

This role partners with their HR Director to implement HR strategies, manage programs within designated client groups, including proactive engagement, attending client group meetings, and offering senior/lead support for diverse HR initiatives. Collaborates with internal HR teams to develop and deliver HR programs and guidelines, and solutions to increase employee engagement and achieve the company and HR team goals.

Your contributions (include, but are not limited to):

  • Serves as Primary contact for consulting and advising managers and employees with regard to employee relations issues including investigation, problem/conflict resolution, disciplinary action and termination
  • Under supervision will administer HR Programs (Performance, Talent & Succession, Compensation Review etc.) for designated Client groups
  • Partners with staff and stakeholders to ensure engagement and facilitate change
  • Understands the business and HR strategies and how they interrelate.
  • Understands core business drivers and how HR enables and impacts financial performance
  • Positions HR advice in the broader context of the business' goals and objectives
  • Talks with fluency about current business issues and the role of strategic HR initiatives in enabling business objectives
  • Makes a persuasive case by offering a clear, relevant rationale for HR solutions that address the priorities of the audience
  • Constructively challenges business stakeholders when exploring internal stakeholder requests and discussing potential solutions
  • Navigates complex HR related situations and contributes to the decision-making process
  • Participating as a strategic business partner to management team in the design, implementation and evaluation of multi-functional solutions to business problems
  • Utilize critical thinking skills to analyze HR data and identify trends or areas for improvement
  • Communicates clearly and succinctly, conveying ideas in a straightforward way, ensuring key points are understood
  • High comprehension with FMLA/ADA regulations, including partnering with leaders on how to manage leave requests and accommodations
  • Advising managers and employees concerning compensation, benefits, and employee services as well as provide training in accordance with policies, procedures and practices
  • Is proactive in raising initiatives, concerns & key opportunities at appropriate times & with appropriate audiences
  • Takes ownership of client group programs from inception to completion, requiring minimal direction from supervisor
  • Actively participate in client group meetings, fostering strong relationships and understanding client group needs and challenges
  • Collaborate with HR team members and cross-functional partners to support organizational goals and initiatives
  • Stay updated on relevant HR laws, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and continuous improvement
  • Assisting with other tasks or special projects as assigned by manager

Requirements:

  • BS/BA degree in Human Resources or related field and 4+ years of progressively responsible experience in human resources with exposure to and demonstrated competence in all functional areas OR
  • Master's degree in Human Resources or related field and 2+ years of related experience OR
  • PHR, SPHR or SHRM-CP certification is highly preferred
  • Preferred experience: HR generalist in the life science or related industry, and HRIS
  • Strong understanding of FMLA/ADA regulations.
  • Proficiency in understanding benefits and compensation administration
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • High emotional intelligence and ability to navigate sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence at all levels of the organization
  • Proven track record of successfully managing programs or projects from start to finish
  • Highly engaged and committed to supporting client groups and organizational goals
  • Excellent computer skills, strong knowledge in Microsoft package including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to meet multiple deadlines, with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency
  • Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and expertise in legal risk assessment as well as the application of employment law in most HR business situations
  • Strong understanding and practical application of federal, state and local labor regulations and policies is required; and ability to apply based on situation
  • Ability to deal effectively and confidentially with employees at all levels within a diverse workforce regarding HR related topics

The annual base salary we reasonably expect to pay is $93,200.00-$135,275.00. Individual pay decisions depend on various factors, such as primary work location, complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 20% of the earned base salary and eligibility to participate in our equity based long term incentive program. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan (with company match), paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
