Job Description
Position Summary:                                      
  • Looking for candidate to join our Employee Benefits practice with 2-3 years’ experience in executive compensation and employee benefits matters, including executive compensation plans and programs, employment agreements, the securities law aspects of compensation and benefits, and the employee benefits aspects of M&A transactions. Candidates must have top academic credentials and a stellar law firm employment history.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:                                              
  • Conduct legal research and analysis.  Perform due diligence.  Draft employee benefit and executive compensation plans and arrangements and related sections of M&A transaction documents. Communicate and correspond with colleagues, clients, and other counsel. 
  • Must have ability to perform legal research primarily in Employee Benefits law; ability to use library reference materials and/or electronic resource tools; ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with others; ability to communicate effectively in English orally and in writing; ability to organize and prioritize workload; ability to understand and follow written and oral directions; knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, WORD, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.

Education:
  • JD degree; Bachelor’s degree; Must be admitted to practice law in the state of NY.

Experience:
  • Two to three years’ experience in executive compensation and employee benefits matters, including executive compensation plans and programs, employment agreements, and the securities law aspects of compensation and benefits; experience supporting large M&A transactions.
