The Global Marketing Excellence Manager is central to achieving this goal by being the subject matter expert on all things related to marketing processes and systems. This role is responsible for ensuring a seamless integration and collaboration between our global and local marketing efforts, enhancing the planning, development, and execution of our marketing and product launch plans. Additionally, the individual in this role will lead the charge in identifying and fostering growth opportunities for our marketing associates, ensuring they have the pathways and support needed to excel and actively develop.

Your proficiency in Marketing Excellence encompasses a robust and proficient understanding of Annual Marketing Plan (AMP) processes, Go-to-Market Product Launch planning, and nurturing marketing talent through initiatives like a Marketing Development Program (MDP). A solid understanding of the Hollister Marketing Excellence Framework and Tools (MEx) would be advantageous, enriching your contributions to our team.

The Team:

In this role, you will collaborate closely with a diverse and dynamic team, including the Global Continence Care and Ostomy GMO teams, GMIA, GSE and local marketing teams together with a wider range of other stakeholders such as country leaders, and senior leadership. You will be an integral part of the Global Marketing organization.

Responsibilities

  1. Capability Building and Talent Development
    • Responsible for onboarding new marketers on ways of working and processes
    • Identify opportunities and build capability in the global marketing talent pool
    • Lead the continued development and refinement of the Marketing Development Program (MDP) including defining of foundational and advanced competencies.
    • Drive adoption and use of the MDP ensuring mapping of proficiency ratings across the marketing community as to identify key gaps/opportunities of the total marketing function.
    • Outline a roadmap for the MDP which details training and competency development initiatives to improve marketing capability.
    • Lead the development and implementation of a broader Hollister marketing training curriculum for new and existing marketers.
    • Support the Development & Succession Planning (DSP) process with input and identification of Marketing Talent and required development initiatives to aid continued progression/advancement.
  2. Strategic Planning and Execution
    • Coordinate the development of an improved and streamlined Annual Marketing Plan (AMP) process that integrates and builds on local and global opportunities and insights.
    • Ensure that the Global AMP process seamlessly integrates into AOP, strategic planning and local territory planning processes and outputs.
    • Lead and facilitate Marketing Excellence (Mex) workshops constructively challenging and critiquing to drive better customer and market understanding as to increase marketing effectiveness.
    • Lead Summit on Marketing Excellence, a collaborative event with global and local marketing teams and leadership. Lead agenda and objective development, and oversee and ensure high-quality content development and delivery
  3. Customer Centricity and Market Insights
    • Drive Marketing towards a truly customer-centric model that is insights driven and externally focused.
    • Support annual research and insight capturing activities e.g. Customer Satisfaction (CSAT) driving the bedding of best practice and key insights into marketing planning/execution.
    • Understand and embed the key components of CSAT and Sales Excellence into Marketing Excellence frameworks and ensure active leveraging of them within the AMP.
  4. Collaboration and Integration
    • Work closely with Global CC and Ostomy GMO teams to ensure overarching strategies and key marketing priorities are aligned through MEx frameworks, tools and associated resources.
    • Drive active collaboration with local Marketing leadership to understand competency requirements and on-going proficiency demonstration of wider marketing community.
    • Actively partner with GMIA, GSE and senior leadership to ensure effective alignment of marketing best practice/execution into commercial processes and subsequent execution.
  5. Innovation and Best Practices
    • Continuously iterate and improve MEx programs and curriculum to reflect feedback, evolving marketing needs and strategic requirements including Go2Market, AMP, Make it Matter Model & MDP.
    • Seek external best practices, bring forward case studies and learning opportunities in turn raising internal standards of marketing and marketing understanding.
    • Be a renowned and credible "go-to" expert for Marketers at all levels, coaching and sharing knowledge.
    • Develop and leverage a MEx Champions network to embed expertise and change capability across global and local marketing.
    • Provide consistent, clear, and frequent communications to GMO leadership as to maintain MEx awareness and alignment.

Work Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of ten (10+) years of healthcare marketing experience (pharmaceutical, medical device, biotech)
  • Global and local marketing experience highly desired
  • Sales experience highly desired

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a business, healthcare or technical discipline required. MBA highly preferred.
  • Formal marketing degree or qualification

Specialized Skills/Technical Knowledge

  • Minimum of ten (10+) years of healthcare marketing experience
  • Experience and expertise in developing Annual Marketing Plans and Product Launch Plans.
  • Experience in identifying and developing marketing capabilities, competencies and supporting the development of marketers.
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical, creative problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Proactive leadership and collaboration skills to establish strong networks
  • Passion for transformation and coaching; a strong desire and curiosity to continuously learn and improve self and others
  • Excellent written and oral communication/presentation skills in English
  • Strengths in Powerpoint and in stakeholder communications

Local Specifications

  • Fluent in English; fluency in a second language a plus
