What We Need:

The Machine Operator is responsible for the setup, start-up, shut down, operation, and product quality of meltblown extrusion lines including extruders, sheeters, winders, embossers, bonders, etc. They hold ultimate responsibility for the quality of the product produced and provide guidance and leadership to the assembler packagers.


What You'll Be Doing:

  • Setup machine to product specifications including extruder, winder, sheeter, bonder, embosser, etc.
  • Operate a single meltblown production line; understanding the controls and operation of the machines.
  • Effectively troubleshoot defects or out of specification products.
  • Comprehend and adhere to equipment and product specifications
  • Perform quality checks on finished goods.
  • Setting up boxes or bags for the production run and packaging meltblown product into boxes/bags.
  • Keeping the line clean and free of waste.
  • Cross train on other meltblown lines or other departments

What you'll need to be successful:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of two (2) or more years of steady technical machine operating experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work in a team environment and provide leadership in the absence of the Team Leader
  • Ability to read & follow written directions
  • Flexible in schedule to work overtime, nights and weekends as needed
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly & stand for up to 100% of shift
  • Ability to bend, twist, crawl, climb & reach to perform job duties

Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Associate's degree
  • Experience in extrusion
  • Experience in lean manufacturing
