Job Description

Performs either paint or sandblast duties and may have the ability to perform work in either area.

  1. Follows established safety and environmental policies, procedures and methods applicable to the work area.
  2. Knowledge of powder coating process.
  3. Performs other duties as necessary.

Sandblast

  1. Ensure there are no grease or liquids on the product prior to sandblast.
  2. Masks over parts and areas that are not to be blasted.
  3. Follow work instruction to properly operate sandblast equipment.

Paint (Powder Paint & Wet Paint)

  1. Selects and mixes coating liquid to produce desired color.
  2. Masks over parts and areas that are not to be coated.
  3. Sprays surfaces of machines, manufactured products, or working area with protective or decorative material such as paint, enamel, glaze, gel-coat, or lacquer.
  4. Coats areas inaccessible to hand sprayer with brush.
  5. Cleans spraying equipment and brushes with solvent.
  6. Cleans powder equipment and performs color changes.
  7. Familiarity with TCI/ PCG powder paint preferred.

EDUCATION:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

EXPERIENCE:

  • 2 - 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

SKILLS:

  • Ability to understand and follow written work instructions.
  • Understanding of ratios in order to mix paint.
  • Must pass physical and fit test in order to operate paint equipment.
  • Computer skills including MS Office, Lotus Notes and ability to learn Parker business systems.

Pay Rate: $18.50 - $28.68
