JOB SUMMARY:

The SEO Director leads our clients' SEO programs and drive organic growth. They play a pivotal role in creating high-performing SEO campaigns for our clients, manage the associate team members, and assist in growing the SEO practice.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Strategic Planning

Leads strategy for brands and ensures all tactical outputs ladder up to strategic imperatives, all decisions use a data-driven approach, and KPIs are met.

Client Management

Owns the client relationship and manages expectations while identifying gaps/areas of improvement and creating opportunities to address. Keeps clients up to date on latest SEO practices and gets buy in on optimization decisions.


JOB DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

*Is the primary owner of the client relationship and the main point of contact to confirm client satisfaction

*Ensures best practices are being followed in all client work and processes are being adhered to ensure consistency across accounts

*Manages expectations of clients and deliverables while identifying gaps/areas of improvement and creating opportunities to address

*Work with analytics team to set benchmarks and recommend custom KPIs and important metrics for reporting

*Manage client presentations and reporting workflow with the team to ensure the story and data are clean, clear, and adds to the overall media story

*Identifies opportunities to enhance or automate internal processes and operations and brings forth actionable recommendations to improve overall efficiency and quality of team outputs

*Takes an active role in the training and mentorship of the junior team member

*Supports VP, SEO Director with creating and stewarding team processes to drive efficiencies and maintain operational excellence

*Challenges teams on the rigor and rationale used to determine strategic or tactical outputs using data driven approach

*Craft POVs based on latest changes in organic search landscape


EDUCATION:

DEGREE/DIPLOMA

Bachelor's degree

(5+ years' experience working within healthcare/pharma is required)


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

*Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word, including advanced Microsoft Excel functions/formulas: charts, graphs, pivot tables and VLookUp

*Advanced knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools, and third-party SEO tools (e.g. Screaming Frog, SEMRush, Ahrefs, etc.)

*SEO subject matter expert (best practices, content and technical optimization strategies, basic web dev, and omnichannel activation strategies)

*Able to locate, extract, organize, and evaluate healthcare industry news publications including but not limited to healthcare advertising best practices and regulations, HIPPA compliancy, and market landscape for clients' brands

*Understands content and technical SEO tactics and how they affect a website's performance

*Ready, willing, and able to dive into the details of the client's web analytics to draw performance insights

*Demonstrates ability to multitask, keeping multiple projects on-track and executing work in a timely fashion

*Has active listening skills to apply learnings over time

*Extensive knowledge of SEO best practices (including, but not limited to content optimization, technical SEO, offsite SEO, and troubleshooting HTML issues)

*Proficiently navigates key tools related to search (SEMRush, Screaming Frog, Google Analytics, Ahrefs, etc.)

*Able to articulate the importance of SEO and SEM integration and can understand basic SEM strategies and how they affect organic performance

*Understands all aspects of SEO project management and proactively anticipates next steps during any kind of website project

*Produces clear, concise work that is error free and easily understood

*Can clearly and confidently present and explain SEO insights, best practices, and field questions from clients and cross-functional teams during presentations and meetings

*Ability to translate strategies into ideas and tactical recommendations

*Adapts communication style to relevant audience

*Skilled in solving routine problems by evaluating and selecting solutions from established options or procedures

*Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy when working with data

*Strong interpersonal skills, including effective communication skills and a positive attitude

Salary

$130,000 to $175,000 annually


The salary range for this position is noted within this job posting. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee's/applicant's background, pertinent experience, and qualifications.
