About BNY Mellon Advisors:

BNY Mellon Advisors is a unique business within BNY Mellon that focuses on asset allocation, portfolio construction, manager research, and alternatives within a OCIO context as well as asset management context. The business constructs and manages multi-asset, multi-manager investment strategies using both proprietary and third-party investment strategies.

In addition, the team also acts as a discretionary, or non-discretionary, provider to asset owners on a global basis across institutional, intermediary, and family office channels. The business works across all of BNY Mellon and its affiliates and subsidiaries including, but not limited to, Global Distribution, Pershing, Asset Servicing, and the various investment affiliates of BNY Mellon. BNY Mellon Advisors design and implement investment strategies that are bespoke to client needs and objectives using a myriad of asset classes, investment strategies, and overlays.

We're seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Investment Strategist to join our Global Economics and Investment Analysis (GEIA) team, under BNY Mellon Advisers. This role is at Senior Vice President level and is located in New York City, NY.

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:

  • Analysis and forecasting of the US macro economy
  • Communication of views to advisers, sales and clients
  • Frequent travel across the US with wholesalers and advisers, meeting clients
  • Contributing to GEIA team output more broadly, commentary, weeklies, monthlies etc.

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:

  • Bachelors Degree in Finance or Economics, Masters level qualification is preferred
  • 5-10 years experience in an asset management organization or similar
  • Experience of working with sales teams and clients; willingness to travel
  • Ability to turn complex analysis into clearly communicated views
  • Energetic, self-starting approach to forming strong working relationships

BNY Mellon assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $108,700 and $250,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNYM total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.

This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
