GENERAL SUMMARY

The Business Process Analyst takes ownership and responsibility for engaging with stakeholders across the Bank and effectively and proactively assessing, documenting, updating, and managing business process maps, data flow diagrams and risk and control matrices for all business units. This role will also be responsible for documenting new processes identified through highly visible, enterprise-wide programs and projects as well as documenting business requirements and other requested project documentation.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Lead and support the documentation of business process maps, data flow diagrams, and risk and control matrices for new or re-engineered processes defined as part of highly visible, enterprise-wide programs and projects that meet organization goals and requirements.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders and business leaders across the organization to identify control points within the process flows and document risks and controls related to the business units' process maps.
  • Facilitate the updates to existing business process, data flow diagram, or risk and control matrices resulting from periodic re-certifications on business process maps and data flow diagrams.
  • Coordinate with Enterprise Risk Management and Division Risk Managers to ensure that newly identified or modified risks and controls are incorporated into the enterprise risk register and control inventory.
  • Coordinate with Information Technology to ensure that new technologies are incorporated into the IT Asset Inventory.
  • As requested by business process owners or through projects, analyze and challenge current processes, identify gaps and areas of improvement or opportunities for automation.
  • As needed, support enterprise-wide projects and programs to document business requirements.


QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university, strongly preferred.

Experience:

  • 2-4 years of experience facilitating process workshops
  • 2+ years of operational risk management experience
  • 1+ years of experience with process mapping and data flow diagrams in MS Visio
  • Experience in financial services preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate and balance multiple projects in a time-sensitive environment and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated strong relationship management skills with internal clients (e.g., senior management, peers, and colleagues); proven ability to develop creative and collaborative approaches.
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative style.


Skills/Ability:

  • Excellent organizational talents, and the ability to clearly articulate and present information for stakeholders at all levels of the business.
  • Ability to quickly learn the objectives, structures, operations, and policies of a new business area.
  • Experience creating business process maps, data flow diagrams, and risk and control matrices.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Team building and effective communications with Senior Management.

OTHER DETAILS

$90K - $105K / year
Pay determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
