Job Description
Position Summary:
The Data Analytics Developer is responsible for the development of analytical data structures, data visualization and reporting capabilities for Hughes Hubbard & Reed using MS Power Platform.  He/she will work closely with IT senior management and key business stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions.
 
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage the MS Power platforms and tools (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate) as required.  Maintain the firm’s Reporting platform inventory:  maintain and publish solutions to Power BI workspaces, assign security roles to provide access to reports and dashboards, package solutions in Power BI apps for distribution to the targeted business users.
  • Develop Power BI dashboards and reports based on technical requirements, including Power BI models and queries.
  • Develop an understanding of the business in order to design and develop solutions that are both accurate and reliable.
  • Assist with the design and implementation of data quality improvement processes and initiatives.  Develop SQL scripts, queries for the ad hoc data analysis.
  • Develop processes to ingest, merge and transform data from disparate system into MS Fabric / One Lake using MS Azure toolset and create data models for PowerBI consumption.
  • Manage the full SDLC related to analytics solutions from inception, design, development, testing and delivery. 
  • Evaluate new analytics technologies and platforms and staying current on the best practices within the industry with the focus on MS Azure Power Platform, Data Lake/Fabric, Open AI and Co-pilots.
  • Assist in implementation of the data-centric systems integrations between critical business applications.
  • Document systems and processes as required.
Position Specific Skills and Requirements: 
  • Minimum of 3 years’ of data analytics development experience using MS Power Platform (PowerBI, Power Apps).  Proven record of advanced Data Visualization skills, including parameterized reports, and DAX scripts for calculated tables/columns in Power BI. 
  • Minimum of 3 years’ of development experience with T-SQL and with MS BI Tools (PowerBI, SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS).
  • Experience creating and maintaining SSAS tabular models and extract data from tabular models using MDX queries.
  • Experience with MS Power Automate, Logic Apps, Azure storage functions preferred.
  • Experience following SLDC (design, development, testing methods, code version control, MS Visual Studio/GitHub, deployment and code maintenance)
  • Experience other enterprise class ETL tool (Biztalk, Boomi) is a plus.
Education and General Requirements: 
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Professional certifications a plus.

  • Attendance Requirements:
    • On site during normal working hours and available as necessary before or after normal working hours to work at the Firm, over the telephone, or at off-site meetings, to meet the demands of the job and the needs of the Firm.
    • Expected to carry a wireless email device and respond when necessary.
  • Travel Requirements:
    • Ability to engage in off-site travel as required from time to time, in order to meet the demands of the job, and the needs of the Firm.
