Job Summary

University Redi-Mix Precast is currently seeking a Precast Carpenter to perform a variety of concrete tasks including forming, setting, and finishing. This person will be responsible for laying out, setting up and stripping forms, bending and tying rebar, placing concrete, set pour, place walls, and install embeds. May include forklift operations to include lifting pre-cast concrete items. Employee is required to work up to 12-hour days shift work, weekend work and is generally outside in the elements. Main Responsibilities
  • Produce various wood forms for concrete production using a wide variety of machinery including but not limited to: table saws, radial saws, and staple guns.
  • Strip and set concrete forms.
  • Tying rebar.
  • Pour precast concrete structures.
  • Help load/unload inventory.
Education
  • Must have at least 1 year carpentry experience.
Skills
  • Help promote a culture of safety.
  • Able to read and interpret shop/engineering drawings.
  • Knowledge of basic measurements and how to read a tape measure.
  • Ability to work in outdoor environment.
  • Good attendance and positive demeanor.
Physical Requirements
  • Successful completion of physical abilities test.
  • Pass pre-employment and random drug tests.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs on occasion.
  • Twisting/bending/swooping and standing for periods of time.
