Manhattan Strategy Group is seeking a skilled Project Director to join our dynamic Team. In this role, you will be responsible for securing technical resources to support federal efforts to provide technical assistance and guidance to state and tribal child welfare automation projects and program staff.
The ideal candidate will possess expertise in providing technical assistance and guidance to states and tribes planning and implementing child welfare information technology solutions and offering technical support for new programs, policies, or child welfare laws. This position offers full-time employment.
Job Responsibilities/Duties:
  • Responsible for making required changes in processes and practices to ensure performance is managed effectively.
  • Provide technical and functional support at the contract level for managing contract staff, activities, and deliverables.
  • Technical assistance in information systems projects: Planning, Design, Development, Implementation, Operation and Maintenance, Project Management, Use of the resulting application by state and tribal staff, and Review of the application and project.
  • Manage the DSS's Document Control System (a Microsoft SharePoint application) to
  • ensure that all incoming controls and outgoing work products, including APDs, Requests
  • for Proposals (RFP), contracts, reports, responses, and other documents are inputted,
  • tracked, monitored, and closed out correctly.
  • Generate and process acknowledgment letters to States and Tribes using defined templates per the standard office procedure to acknowledge the receipt of submissions.
  • PMO functions include: Staffing, Risk Management, Operations (onboarding/offboarding), Quality Assurance & Reporting, Financial Management
Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree in business management, project management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of five to eight years of experience overseeing projects of comparable scale.
  • Experience in child welfare and large information technology implementations.
  • Possess expertise in Tribal and Federal Child Welfare Information Systems (CWiS) or Administration for Children and Families, Children's Bureau.
  • Highly proficient in creating, analyzing, and managing project budgets and timelines to align resources to meet project deliverables.
  • Highly proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated project management experience relating to Title IV-E agency automated child welfare information systems and development projects.
  • 8-10+ years of Process Improvement experience applying various project management methodologies to include Waterfall, Agile, SAFe, and Hybrid
  • PMP certification highly desired
