CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking a Cost Estimator II to join our Commercial & Institutional - PMCM/OPM Team at our Brookylyn, NY office location.

YOUR IMPACT

CHA Consulting, Inc., seeks a Cost Estimator II position, who will work remotely and report to CHA's location in Brooklyn, NY. This position is responsible for executing high-quality accurate detailed cost estimates. The Cost Estimator II position also understands clients' needs, meets their expectations, presents the estimate, and follows up with the client on any issues. This position will also perform the estimate in a timely and cost-effective manner to meet client requirements.

Specifically, the Cost Estimator II position will perform the following duties:

    Create comprehensive, detailed and accurate cost estimates;
  • Proficiently use quantification software platforms;
  • Research current regional markets for labor and material pricing to support cost estimate unit rates and develops an informed opinion of market conditions for projected time of bidding;
  • Review Cost Estimating team's product to ensure timely delivery, detailed thoroughness of scope, account for complexity of construction operations and accuracy of pricing;
  • Perform QA/QC functions including; scope definition and verification, design constructability, gap analysis, risk exposure;
  • Present cost estimate to client in timely manner, prepares a report on changes from previous estimate (if applicable), lead cost estimate reconciliation meeting and publishes reconciled estimate;
  • Collaborate with design team to develop value management/"value engineering" options and present to project team;
  • Interface with and supports our OPM Team with prompt cost information sharing;
  • Maintain awareness of code standards, regulation developments, sustainable design initiatives, grants and rebate incentives;
  • Contribute to building and nurturing our company's culture and team environment;
  • Develop and maintain relationships with current and potential clients that will result in positive long-term recurrent business partnerships;
  • Participate and help guide the identification pursuit targets for new business and developing opportunities in conjunction with the Marketing and Business Development staff; and (Infrequent) Travel both locally and interstate, for client meetings and project site visits

REQUIREMENTS
  • The successful candidate must have at least two (2) years of experience as a project manager or cost estimator, which includes two (2) years of experience with the following: Management of RFI's, production tracking, and submittals; Quality Assurance/Quality Control management; and Quantification utilizing Bluebeam and On-Screen Takeoff (OST) Software
SALARY RANGE:

$72,000 - $90,000

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
