Position Summary: Peer Support services are peer-delivered services with emphasis on rehabilitation and recovery. Services are intended to support skills for coping with and managing behavioral health symptoms while utilizing natural resources. Peer services are provided to assist one in developing recovery-oriented principles.
Essential Responsibilities:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
Preferred not required:
NYS Certified Recovery Peer Advocate (CRPA)
Prior experience working or volunteering as a certified peer specialist or advocate
Experience working with person with co-occurring disorders/illness
Familiarity with Home and Community Based Services
Knowledge of mental and substance use disorders and resources available in the community
