We are actively seeking a highly motivated, innovative, and experienced leader to join our team as the Senior Healthcare Data Analyst. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.


Position Summary:

Responsible for running queries and providing required analysis to understand drivers related to medical cost and utilization by providing an insightful narrative that assists management with decision making with informed facts. Extract, analyze, and interpret data for more complex insights related to cost drivers and by managing the escalation of issues that impact costs. Provide consultative subject matter expertise to aligned business areas to demonstrate analytics rooted in data and fact finding.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement dashboard and workflows and document processes.
  • Creates insightful narratives to accompany data reporting to assist leadership and business units with informed decision making.
  • Responsible for identifying medical trends and cost containment initiatives.
  • Manages and collects large data sets with the ability to perform data mining and reporting.
  • Implement automation of manual reporting and analysis of business implications and trends.
  • Create, develop, and design analytics and reporting to measure or estimate financial impact to health plan business problems and potential or actual solutions, addressing escalated issues with subject matter expertise.
  • Develops and promotes self-service analytics for business unit reporting.
  • Ability to design programmatic analyses and reporting capabilities in addition to business requirement definitions for new opportunities to identify trends and financial impact.

EDUCATION REQUIRED

  • BA/BS in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Healthcare, or related discipline required.

EXPERIENCES AND/OR SKILLS REQUIRED

  • 4 - 6+ years of Healthcare experience required
  • Experience querying, summarizing, and manipulating data using proven reporting skills using software like Tableau, PowerBI, Python,SQL etc. Required.
  • High level of proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.), with an emphasis on Excel required.
  • Experience preparing/presenting dashboards and data using a data visualization tool such as Tableau preferred.
  • Demonstrate experience in participating in multiple projects and ability to work with limited supervision, showing creativity, innovation, motivation, initiative, and professionalism. Excellent interpersonal, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills, including the ability to convey information to non-technical colleagues in a concise and clear way.
  • Demonstrate understanding and sensitivity to multi-cultural values, beliefs, and attitudes of both internal and external contacts.
  • Demonstrate appropriate behaviors in accordance with the organization's vision, mission, and values.
