Seeking a Plumbing/Fire Protection Engineer opening for a mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection and energy consulting engineering firm dedicated to providing responsive and cost-effective professional services to facility owners, architects, and developers.
Responsibilities:
Working under the leadership of our senior engineers, this position will be responsible for assistance in all phases of plumbing & fire protection engineering design and construction administration services including:
- Drafting of plumbing & fire protection systems using AutoCAD and REVIT.
- Production of construction documents including plans, details, specifications, and equipment schedules.
- Pipe sizing and flow calculations
- Research of Codes and standards.
- Selection of equipment and design of complete plumbing & fire protection systems.
- Coordination with other engineering disciplines and architectural trades.
- Participation in design discussions and meetings.
- Documentation and analysis of existing building systems.
- Review of contractor RFI's, equipment submittals and on-site construction inspection visits.
Ideal Candidate:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant plumbing & fire protection design experience in commercial, educational, healthcare, housing, and municipal projects is preferred.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit and Microsoft Office Suite.
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering is preferred; we will consider an Associate's Degree in Engineering Technology or similar field
- EIT and LEED accreditation is a plus.
Pay: $87,360.00 - $156,000.00 per year
