They will work with cross functional team members to assess effects of neuronal and glial cell modulation on neuronal biology and function. Responsibilities include preparing tissues for sectioning, generating tissue sections by microtomy and cryotomy, designing, validating, and performing immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence and in situ hybridization experiments, imaging resulting slides by microscope or slide scanner, and analyzing the resulting images. The ideal candidate should have a background in neuroscience/ neuroimmunology, be well organized, proactive, and possess excellent technical and communication skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Flexibility and willingness to learn and master new techniques are critical. This position will develop along the scientific track.
