Purpose of Position

The Project Manager with plays a vital role in supporting the successful execution of the Agile System of Delivery within our organization. The primary purpose of this position is to contribute to the planning, coordination, and execution of solution delivery, while adhering to NetJet's Agile principles and practices. By assisting in the facilitation of Agile ceremonies, monitoring project progress, and communicating effectively with stakeholders, the Associate Project Manager assists in driving success and fosters a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. This role is instrumental in supporting the team's efforts to deliver high-quality solutions that meet business objectives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to establish and oversee solution development and delivery.
  • Support development of detailed Portfolio and Solution roadmaps.
  • Develop skills and knowledge to coach team members on Agile principles and practices, and help remove any impediments to progress.
  • Monitor delivery risks and impediments and escalate or develop mitigation strategies to address them.
  • Assist with creation and communication of Portfolio and Solution team status, updates, and risks to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Utilizing Solution and Delivery team metrics, foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team by encouraging feedback and implementing process improvements.
  • Cultivate a team culture that values collaboration, knowledge sharing, and mutual support.
  • Be a champion of the agile system of delivery by promoting and supporting resilient agile practices based on Agile Guardrails. Elevate team collaboration & accountability to our agile governance model.
  • Assist with other project and agile related tasks and initiatives, as needed.
  • Facilitation of agile and scrum ceremonies where appropriate.
  • Collaborate with the Solutions Manager to define and create a healthy backlog of work for the delivery team.
  • Buffer the delivery team from outside distractions.
  • Support and coach delivery team(s) with an end goal of creating self-organizing, cross functional teams.
  • Support and encourage agile implementations within the larger organization.
Education
Bachelor's in Information Technology or Business Administration

  • Experience with managing technology projects in an agile environment
  • Using project/resource management tools, agile team management tools/information radiators, risk management, and software development life cycle/project management life cycle processes and disciplines.

  • Facilitate meetings with multiple business and technical staff, including building consensus and mediating compromises when necessary.

  • Risk, change and scope management. This may include agile ceremonies to plan and estimate, map story cards, and establish delivery targets (MVPs).
  • Ensure quality, including managing interactions and dependencies among and between agile and non-agile teams to deliver holistic solutions.
  • Scrum Master certification preferred.
